Rise provided landlord interface and full project management services to Kirkland & Ellis, LLP for their new corporate headquarters, completed in April 2009.
“
It has been our privilege to represent Kirkland & Ellis and manage all aspects of creating and transitioning to a new corporate headquarters that is specifically designed to facilitate their business objectives and provide an environment in which their practice of law serves clients at the highest level. The flexible and innovative office layout anticipates future practice needs and includes state-of-the-art technology infrastructure.
”
As the anchor tenant in a new highrise along the Chicago River, the Chicago headquarters of this international law firm occupies roughly 650,000 square feet of the new building's overall square footage on 26 floors of the 60-story highrise. Kirkland & Ellis anticipates LEED Silver Certification for the tenant buildout.
For this project, Rise led and managed design coordination; procurement; construction; furniture, fixture and equipment coordination; and tenant move-in. Rise also represented Kirkland & Ellis in tenant negotiations for the developer's lease/workletter, leading the effort in areas including Core and Shell design considerations and construction provisions for special tenant requirements, schedule milestones and site access/logistics, allowing concurrent construction of tenant work and the base building.
